A heaven for the bike rides among nature, art and history
The path on the Prealps

Taking the way to Pieve di Soligo-Follina by bike, you can get, after 8 Km, Valmareno. If you continue towards North, going along the “Claudia Augusta Altinate” Route (a Roman route that from Quarto d’Altino leads to the North as far as the Danube), you get into a wood of secular chestnut trees where you can see still today the ruins of the cobbled paving used by the Romans to floor their roads.

When you are in Praderadego you go ahead until “Malga Canidi” and you continue towards “Malga Mont” where it’s worth stopping for some time to taste the great typical kinds of cheese. Not so far from here there’s “Posa Puner” refuge from where you can admire the beautiful view of the Dolomites and of the Treviso Prealps and where on a sunny day you can see Venice with its lagoon.

Lovers of nature and its colours (in particolar in autumn) will be surely satisfied by this itinerary that leads towards Solighetto and the “Croda Mill” in Refrontolo. Going up a silent valley decorated by the fantastic colours of nature, you reach one of the most beautiful italian villages: Follina. Follina with its Abbey that dates back to the 14th century and its great romanesque cloister. From Follina you can reach Cison di Valmarino with the “Brandolini” Castle. Cison becomes an important summer destination for all people fond of markets of art. It’s also considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.

After having overstepped the S. Boldo Pass, you go down Tovena until Revine Lago and then Tarzo, to come back to our farmhouse located just under the great “Pieve of San Pietro di Feletto”. It was built before 1.000 A.D. on the ruins of heathen temple and it has been for centuries the founding church of the area. Inside there are some byzantines frescos and an old colonnade with its famous wall painting called “Il Cristo della Domenica” (The Sunday Christ).

Cison di Valmarino

From Cison di Valmarino you get to Tovena at the foot of the Passo di San Boldo, pass through which, after having climbed between turns and the wood, you get to a small plain that gently leads down to Val Belluna.

Back on the road from Novena to Revine, a small village on the shores of the lake of same name, you can admire the flight of the hang gliders that starting from above the Pian delle Femene land near the lake. Of great historical and naturalistic interest is the near Livellet Park, where some stilts of the Paleolithic age were reconstructed and displayed on an amazing anthropic journey together with archaeological finds discovered in the area. The town of Lago hosts every year in late July, the Lake Film Festival, dedicated to international short films, screened in locations, courtyards and spaces of incomparable beauty facing the lake.

Conegliano

Conegliano is popular for Gianbattiosta Cima, an important painter born in the 15th century in this town. Conegliano is on an excellent geographical position at the foot of the Treviso Prealps. Its perfect position among Venice, Udine and Cortina, the city of Conegliano has developed in time its industrial and its agriculture sectors, becoming together with Valdobbiadene the reference for the Prosecco D.O.C.G. discrict.

This strong connection with wine can be also found in one of the most important events that take place in Conegliano in autumn: “la Festa dell’Uva” (the Grapes Party) which towards the end of September animates the historical centre of Conegliano.

Vittorio Veneto and the historical centre of Serravalle

The City of Vittorio Veneto is known because here the homonym battle during the First World War took place The victory of the italian army against the austro-hungarian one has as a result the austrian yield and the end of the war.

You can't lose the occasion to visit the historical centre of Serravalle, unique for its morphology, its palaces and places. ""Flaminio"" square is also great for its historical meaning.

Cortina

Pearl of the Dolomites

Located at the centre of the wide Valley called “Boite Valley”, in the province of Belluno, Cortina d’Ampezzo also called the Pearl of the Dolomites, is the most famous and prestigious montain resort in Italy. Big infrastructures and sport services have been given valued for winter tourism: besides more than 30 cableways/chairlifts and ski lifts, there about 80 ski runs (Tofana, Mietres, Cristallo, Faloria e Cinque Torri) and they are included in the Dolomites Superski discrits, the widest ski system in the world.

In summer, tourism offers a range of activities maybe as wide as in winter. Cortina di Ampezzo is, in fact, famous for the excursions that tourists can have as you can try paths of different lenght and from walks on foot or by bike in the woods, to routes fitted with ropes on the rock at about 100 metres from the ground.

Asolo

Asolo is an elegant town, rich in history and culture, not so far from Treviso.

It’s one of the most suggestive historical centres in Veneto. Originally it was built on Paleovenetian settlements; thanks to the favorable climate it soon became a prestigious roman town since the first century B.C. It’s worth visiting the Cafè in the central square that has become the meeting place for many literary men and important characters. It was also the location of the shots of many popular movies. Moreover there is the Queen’s Castle with Duse Theatre, the Cathedral and the Civic Museum.

A beautiful city with walls that protect a remarkable historical centre among rivers, art, glimpses and great views. Tourists can enjoy the rich historical and cultural heritage, while the lovers of nature can enjoy the beautiful landscape along the Sile and Cagnan rivers.

From the Farmhouse, it takes you less than 15 minutes by car to get to the Conegliano train station. At the station you can park your car and catch the train to Venice (about 1 hour) through the direct railway line Conegliano-Treviso –Venezia. It’s very easy and confortable travelling by train to Venice.

Good Wine

San Pietro di Feletto is located on the “Pedemontana” area that links the axis Vittorio Veneto/Conegliano to Valdobbiadene, one of the most popular viticultural reality in the D.OC.G. Prosecco area.

Conegliano and Valdobbiadene are linked through the first italian wine rout, the ‘’Prosecco Wine Route’’: a suggestive way that passes through some hills with their vineyards, beautiful villages and many wine cellars and restaurants where you can taste some excellent wine.
